Beresford meeting

On Sunday, April 2nd; the Northeast Agri-Food Collective will hold a public information meeting at Danny’s Inn and Conference Center in Beresford to set up an agri-food co-operative for northeastern New Brunswick.

Farmers and other local food producers, along with people in the Chaleur; the Acadian Peninsula, and Restigouche regions; will be involved.

This would let people order in advance through the website and buy at the local markets.

Brexit

Yesterday marked the beginning of the exit of Britain from the E-U. It’ll be out two years from now.

Antonio Tajani, the President of the European Parliament; warned Britain it must respect its treaty obligations until the last day of its membership.  He said they must finalize an agreement on much money London owes before they can even talk about trade and other issues.  That could total up to $63 million.  British Prime Minister Theresa May isn’t saying how much her country will pay, except that it will no longer make substantial payments to the E-U.
