On Canada Day during the Salmon Festival, a firetruck pull will take place.
Teams of eight, whether they’re firefighters; police officers or other emergency services personnel, will try to pull a 16 thousand kilogram firetruck 30 meters.
The team that does it the fastest will be the winner.
Money raised will go to Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
The cost to enter a team is 250 dollars.
A recall of Robin Hood brand flour has now been expanded to cover the whole country.
It started last month with the recall of products just distributed in western Canada. Now the recall of 10 kilogram bags with a best before date of April 17, 2018, covers the whiole country. The flour has been linked to 25 cases of ecoli. There have been no deaths but several people had to be hospitalized.
