McNeil comments on trade

Premier Stephen McNeil says the Atlantic provinces have built a good trading relationship with New England states which he expects will continue despite threats from Donald Trump.

The President has threatened a trade war over dairy products which he says are unfairly subsidized because of our marketing board system in Canada.

McNeil says Americans recognize the importance of the two-way trade relationship and the provinces will continue to build on it.

Woman charged with smuggling-in illegal refugees

A Saskatchewan woman has been charged with smuggling refugees across the border from the U-S.

The 43 year old woman is facing human smuggling charges after she was stopped on the Canadian side of the border with 9 refugee claimants after her vehicle crossed over from North Dakota.  Police searched a house in Regina the next day and seized a large amount of cash.
