Miramichi lost 6-3 in Truro last night – the League Championship seriess is now tied at two.

The Charlottetown ISlanders lost 5-4 to the Armada – the ISlanders first loss of the playoffs – tieing their second round series at a game a piece.

In the Majors:
The last place Blue Jays lost 5-4 in Anaheim.

In the NBA playoffs;
The Raptors won 87-76 over Milwaukee to even their first round series at two.

In the NHL;
The Montreal Canadiens were eliminated in six games after a 3-1 loss the Rangers;
THe Blues edged the Wild 4-3 in overtime – St, Louis now advances to the second round;
and the Edmonton Oilers have adanced to the second round after a 3-1 win over San Jose;.

Miramichi Bridge

Rehabilitation work on the Centennial Bridge (Miramichi River No. 1 bridge) will involve several overnight closures.

The third overnight closure is scheduled to begin 11 p.m. Sunday April 30 until 5 a.m. Monday May 1. Those closures will be repeated for the next four nights, concluding the morning of Friday May 5.

Throughout the summer, the bridge will be limited to a single-lane at a time. Traffic Control lights are placed on the bridge to control traffic flow. Single-lane service began the morning of April 10.

Work for the 2017 season is expected to conclude in October.
