House arrest for a 13 year old bandit

A 13-year-old boy who wore a mask and held up a Moncton convenience store with a knife this winter will do two months of house arrest.

In March, the boy, who was 12 at the time of the crime, confessed to the February 15th heist at the Second Avenue Convenience.

He stole 100 dollars from the cash register, paid 20 dollars to a getaway driver and burned his clothes after the robbery.

The teen must keep the peace and be of good behaviour, stay in contact with and obey his social worker, go to counselling and other rehab programs.
