Manuel Noriega

The family of Manuel Noriega held a private memorial a day after the former Panamanian dictator died.

The 83-year-old had spent many of his final years in prison, but had been in intensive care for more than two months.  He suffered a hemorrhage following an operation to remove a brain tumour.

Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls

The National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls has begun.  Chief Commissioner Maron Buller said all Canadians need to hear the truth at the start of the hearings.  13 people representing four families will publicly share those stories in Whitehorse this week, as the inquiry hears testimony from survivors and victims’ families.
