Canada 150 ship stops in Petit-Rocher

A ship on a cross-country trip for Canada 150 has made its only New Brunswick stop.  The Canada C3 hit the Petit-Rocher Wharf yesterday, greeted by about 200 people.  It left Toronto back on the 1st, and is making about 150 stops before ending its trip in Victoria October 28th.

Scam alert

Police are reminding you to be cautious of email and telephone scams where individuals claim to be working for the Canada Revenue Agency.

They’ve been getting calls recently about this including some scams where the caller claims to be affiliated with the police.  One person got a call from a man claiming to be with the tax agency and that the man owed money because of an error on his return.  If he didn’t pay he would be arrested.  One giveaway it was a scam was that the caller demanded paytment in STEAM cards which are used by online gamers to buy games and consoles.
