There was a protest on Parliament Hill yesterday in advance of the Canada Day celebrations.
A number of people were arrested during what the demonstrators described as a re-occupation ceremony. They carried poles intending to set up a teepee, but were blocked just inside the gates and taken away.
Here’s a story you’ve probably never heard recently, a stage coach accident.
Several people were injured and a horse had to be put down after the stage coach crash during an annual ride at Williams Lake in BC’s Interior.
The coach belonged to a local First Nation taking part before the annual Stampede. It tumbled down a 12 metre embankment. One person suffered serious injuries.
