A new action group has been formed to develop Parrsboro’s Main Street and other areas.
It will address appearance and visitor’s experience.
Their first meeting will be this Thursday at the Parrsboro Service Centre at 6 p.m.
Recent graduates from Atlantic Canadian universities are finding that a post-secondary education is no longer a guarantee of stable employment.
More than 12 per cent of Canadians between the ages of 15 and 24 are unemployed and more than a quarter are underemployed, meaning they have degrees but end up in jobs that don’t require them.
The latest numbers from Statistics Canada show that the unemployment rate for 15-to-24-year-olds is almost twice that of the general population.
