Armed robbery by a 12 year old in NB!

A 12 year old Moncton boy has admitted to robbing a convenience store at knifepoint.

The boy’s mother is the one who turned him in to police after finding 65 dollars in his pocket.

Court was also told the boy paid someone 20 bucks to be his getaway driver after he held up the Second Avenue convenience store with a knife while wearing a mask on February 15th.

The pre-teen was sent for a psychiatric assessment and found fit to stand trial and criminally responsible.

There’ll be a sentencing hearing May 10th.

Springhill geothermal expansion

A geothermal project may be expanding in Springhill.

The Cumberland Energy Authority has issued a request for proposals for tenders to do an analysis of the mines flooded with water in Springhill and drill some deep-well test boreholes.

Tenders will close on March 29th.
