Building Code changes coming

Nova Scotia is adopting changes to the National Building Code effective April 1st.  They include increasing the maximum height of wooden residential buildings from four to six storeys, and Fire Safety Act and Regulations being updated to enhance safety in them.  The province’s own accessibility regulations are being changed to improve barrier-free provisions in washrooms, and more.
