Day of Mourning ceremonies
Day of Mourning ceremonies across the province are paying tribute to workers killed or hurt on the job. Halifax, Kentville, Lunenburg, Yarmouth, Port Hawkesbury and Sydney are hosting ceremonies. This year also marks the 25th anniversary of the Westray mine disaster in Pictou County, which killed 26 miners.
