The province has established an independent commission to consult with Acadians, francophones and African Nova Scotians on what effective electoral representation could mean. It’ll travel across the province and make recommendations to the government by November 1st.

More teachers, class size caps recommended by Council to Improve Classroom Conditions
The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development will immediately act on recommendations of the Council to Improve Classroom Conditions. The council committed $9.3 million to hiring at least 139 new teachers. It also recommended provincewide class size caps for junior high, middle and high school, among other things.
