Amherst garden

Volunteers were recently tilling the soil and building raised beds at the community garden beside the E.B. Chandler Junior High School.

There are 30 rows and several raised beds, and free seeds available.

In the past years the garden has grown vegetables as small as radishes and as big as giant pumpkins.

More terror in Britain

British authorities are treating an explosion at Manchester Arena as an act of terrorism, according to The Canadian Press.

The blast following a concert by American pop star Ariana Grande left a number of people dead and dozens more injured.

British Prime Minister Theresa May says the government is trying to establish the full details of the incident, and an emergency Cabinet meeting has been scheduled for this morning.

If confirmed to be a terrorist attack, it would be the largest in Britain since the July 7th, 2005 Islamic attack in London.
