Woman fined for docking tails off puppies: NS SPCA

The Nova Scotia SPCA says a St. Margaret’s Bay woman has pleaded guilty in a precedent-setting tail-docking case.  35-year-old Candace Burneau has to pay a $400 fine after an investigation found she’d hired someone to dock tails on a litter of puppies.  That’s been banned here since 2010 since the procedure is seen as cosmetic.
