Halifax Police say a woman was found dead and a man was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries after an incident last night in Dartmouth. Police say they were called to an assault in progress at an apartment complex on Hastings Drive at 7:42pm. A man with life threatening injuries was discovered outside. A woman was found unresponsive inside and pronounced dead at the scene. Police say it was not a random act. In an update this morning Police say five people have been taken into custody. Three men, aged 24, 27, and 33 – were detained last night. A 19-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man were also taken into custody this morning. All five are being held for questioning but so far no charges have been laid.
