Campbellton beer importing case UPDATE

The Supreme Court of Canada is going to hear a New Brunswick case that started over 14 cases of beer and three bottles of liquor.

The justices have agreed to hear a Crown appeal of a New Brunswick ruling that overturned a ban on bringing alcohol across provincial boundaries, according to The Canadian Press.

Last year, Provincial Court Judge Ronald LeBlanc threw out all charges against a Tracadie man who was ticketed for bringing alcohol he bought in a Quebec border town into New Brunswick in violation of the province’s Liquor Control Act.
