NDP Leader Gary Burrill has announced his government would increase minimum wage to $15 an hour. That would help lift 130,000 Nova Scotians out of poverty. The party would also create Commission on the Local Economy to consult with businesses, social enterprises, corporations, and non-profits on how government can best support them.
