Nova Scotia set a new record for renewable-energy use in 2016. Nova Scotia Power says renewable energy produced 28% of all electricity used in the province last year – that topped its previous high of 26.6% in 2015.The utility is required under legislation to produce 40 % of all power from renewables by the year 2020.
