Pharmacists can save NS healthcare system millions with blood pressure treatment: study

A new study shows comprehensive pharmacist care for high blood pressure can extend a patient’s life and save the system money.  Researchers from multiple universities around the world found that could save provincial healthcare $490 million over 30 years.  166,000 Nova Scotians currently have hypertension, including 28% of adults as of 2015.  You can learn more at pans.ns.ca/bpstudy.
