Man who wasn’t medicated during jail stint won’t go back after alleged new crime

The New Brunswick Court of Appeal has rejected again jailing a man who didn’t get his meds while serving time.  Timothy Anthony Sappier of Tobique was given 30 months for conspiracy to traffic meth last year, but was released in December after appealing.  He’s accused of stealing from a convenience store after that, but the court ruled his mental illness made him delusional because he wasn’t treated in prison.
