An apology for a Pabineau First Nation man

Anthony Peter-Paul, a fisherman from the Pabineau First Nation; eight kilometres south of Bathurst, has received an apology after being denied access to spiritual services and materials.

He served time at the Southeast Regional Correctional Centre in Shediac, following a break and enter in 2011.

Peter-Paul said he was denied access to an elder, and the four sacred medicines of his spiritual practice: sweetgrass, tobacco, cedar and sage.
