Funding has been announced for second-stage affordable housing. It’ll help give Indigenous women and children fleeing domestic violence a safe place to live, with the provincial and federal governments committing up to $824,000 for a four-unit development. The Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre will provide support for victims through the project.
