The province says 779 teachers have applied to the Council to Improve Classroom Conditions. The nine who ultimately join will be chosen by school board superintendents, with the council itself formed by next Tuesday. It’ll have $20 million over two years to address classroom issues, including the student attendance policy, complex classrooms and class sizes.
