How Manitoba is dealing with illegal border crossers

Refugees from the U-S seeking asylum in Manitoba are getting more help from that provincial government.

It is setting up more emergency shelters, more funding for paralegal services and more paramedics for the border community of Emerson-Franklin south of Winnipeg. The numbers of people illegally fleeing the Trump administration is expected to grow.

Premier Brian Pallister has again asked Ottawa to help deal with the influx of regugees.
