National Public Safety Telecommunications Week
This week is National Public Safety Telecommunications Week, dedicated to 911 operators. Nova Scotia RCMP telecommunicators answer 667 calls a day on average, with over two thirds being for ambulance, police and fire service. 243,713 calls were taken in 2016.
