NB Power poll
NB Power did a poll on its own popularity in advance of hearings over whether the utility should receive a five-year extension to its licence to operate Point Lepreau.
The Telegraph-Journal says that nearly three-quarters of New Brunswickers believe the nuclear power plant is closely regulated and operates safety.
But far fewer feel that Point Lepreau operates efficiently.
Lepreau was brought offline three times over the last year for required maintenance.
