Early French immersion schools announced

Early French immersion will be offered at 67 schools around the province in September, including six where immersion isn’t currently offered. Those six are Blackville, Nelson Rural, North & South Esk Elementary, Keswick Ridge, Minto Elementary Middle and Montgomery Street Elementary. Early French immersion will start in Grade 1, with a full list of schools offering it below.

St. George in mourning

St. George is in mourning for a well-loved family.

RCMP are continuing their investigation into the deaths of four family members in that house fire in St. George but foul play is not suspected.

Autopsies are being done on the bodies of the victims…Esther Boyd, who was in her mid-80s and her three sons, Davey, Billy and Robbie whom she still looked after because they had menntal challenges.
