The province will establish a task force to examine workers’ compensation. It’ll consist of employer and worker reps, and chaired by a neutral out-of-province party. An independent value-for-money audit of WorkSafeNB will also be done by the Auditor General.

Provincial report on advancing women’s equality
A New Brunswick Family Plan report on advancing women’s equality has been released. The province will make efforts to recruit more women to fill positions of influence, enhance gender equality and pay equity, increase access to services and support for domestic-violence victims, and otherwise remove barriers to access and opportunities.
