Advance voting is on tomorrow for municipal byelections in Le Goulet, Maisonnette, and Salisbury; a first election in Haut-Madawaska and a plebiscite in the Lamèque-Miscou region. Polls will be open from 10-8, with the main votes being held Monday the 15th.

Man sentenced for sexual assault of mother’s boyfriend’s daughter
A Kings County man has been sentenced for sexually assaulting his mother’s boyfriend’s 13-year-old daughter. He’s in his twenties and can’t be named in order to protect the victim. He pleaded guilty to that and unrelated charges, and got 10 months in jail (less time served) and 18 months’ probation.
