Auditor General Kim MacPherson has released her latest report. Included in it is her concern about disregard of procurement practices in a $13 million Social Development consulting contract. Some anxious moments aboard the Westfield ferry when the cable broke yesterday afternoon.
There were 18 people aboard including 11 students on a school bus when the cable broke on the Henry Nase. The operator quickly dropped anchor and the ferry was stuck about six metres from the landing on the peninsula side…but it was almost two and a half hours before everybody got ashore.
