The province is investing over $900,000 in the Acadia Laboratory for Agri-food and Beverage. The money will cover buying a software system and more equipment, plus help the lab get ISO certified. Nova Scotia’s wine industry accounted for almost $17.5 million in sales last year, and another $382,460 in exports.

Carfentanil seized in NS for believed-to-be first time
Police have confirmed that illicit drugs seized last week in the province have a high probability of containing carfentanil. The opioid is substantially more potent than fentanyl, and this is the first known case of the drug here.
