A good samaritan who tried to break up a fight in Dartmouth was sprayed by an irritant.
Police say the man was trying to break up a fight between a man and woman and got sprayed for his efforts. The pair fled the scene…but police later arrested a 22 year old man who is facing charges. The victim suffered minor injuries.
Regional Council, at its first meeting since the election, chose District 15 councillor Steve Craig as deputy mayor then set about righting a wrong.
Council ordered staff to come up with a different way of handling the $42 million stormwater fee on water bills. It turned out some condo owners were paying the fee twice or even three times if they had deeded parking spots and storage areas. Some trailer park residents were getting dinged twice.
