One Person killed in Harcourt, NB Crash

One man was killed and two others were taken to hospital after pickup truck left the road and crashed near Harcourt, NB on Friday. RCMP say the the accident happened around 5pm on route 126 – about 60 kilometers North-west of Moncton. The driver, a 25-year-old man from Aldouane, NB was killed. Two passengers in the truck were taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries. RCMP closed the highway for about five hours. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

Moncton Neighborhood Wants Pitbull Removed after Attack

Residents of a Moncton neighborhood are demanding a pitbull mix dog be taken away after it attacked a 74-year-old woman and her small dog last week. Carol guest was in her yard when the larger pitbull attacked her much smaller dog last week. Guest says it took three people, including her husband, to get the dog off her dog – who had to spend the night at an animal hospital and is still recovering. Guest and her husband required stitches and shots. The Guests say they started a petition in the neighborhood calling for the animal to be removed that now has more than 30 signatures. The dog who attacked her was placed on a 10-day quarantine inside its own home but no charges were laid.
