A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in Wolfville on Friday night. RCMP say the 67-year-old man was walking on the road on Willow Avenue when he was struck by a four door Honda around 7pm. Police say the man was walking in an area where there was no curb or sidewalk. He was pronounced dead at the scene and the road was closed down for several hours. Police say they have not laid charges against the 89-year-old driver of the Honda but say they are still investigating the incident.

Charges Laid in 2013 Halifax Murder
Halifax Police have charged a 32-year-old man with the 2013 murder of Matthew Sudds. 32-year-old Ricardo |Jerrel Whynder was arrested in Surrey, BC on Friday and charged with first degree murder. Sudds, who was wanted by police at the time of his death, was found shot to death in a ditch on Africville Road in October of 2013. Whynder is expected to be transported to Halifax and appear in court this week to answer to the charges.
