Adee Burgess of New Minas recently won another medal at the Canadian karate nationals.
She took the bronze medal in her weight class in Quebec with Team Nova Scotia.
Burgess is looking forward to the nationals next year, which will be held in Halifax.
Tens of thousands of people lost their power in the latest Nor ‘Easter to hit the province.
Nova Scotia Power reported over 34,000 customers were out early this morning all around the province but mainly around the southwest coast and through the Annapolis Valley. It’ll be later today for many of them before their electricity is restored.
Police reported a number of accidents, but no serious injuries. The roads are much better this morning.
