Hundreds of family doctors in the province are late getting paid for services under the Comprehensive Care Incentive Program. House calls, nursing home visits and more have been done, with Doctors Nova Scotia telling CBC the average delayed payment is $10,000 per year. The Department of Health and Wellness says paperwork for the new contract is the issue, and they’ll be paid soon.

Initial recommendations for classrooms being implemented
Karen Casey has received the 18 initial recommendations from the Council to Improve Classroom Conditions. The minister has directed the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and school boards to act on them, with eight coming in right away and 10 still in progress.
