Nova Scotia Music Week will spend its next three years in Truro. The annual music festival and conference typically moves around the province, but will be in the town for 2017, 2018 and 2019. Truro hosted very successful weeks in 2014 and 2016, and this November marks the event’s 20th anniversary.

Funding for affordable housing
More seniors, low-income homeowners and people with disabilities in Nova Scotia will be able to stay in their home longer thanks to improvements to home repair and adaptation programs. Housing Nova Scotia and the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation are investing $7.8 million for more access to affordable housing, and supporting independent living.
