Ted Champion will be nominated as the NDP candidate for Kings North. A meeting will be held April 11th in North Kentville. Champion is a longtime education assistant for the Annapolis Valley Regional School Board, and a volunteer with the New Minas Fire Department among other things. He lives in Port Williams with his wife and children.

Lunenburg Academy
The Town of Lunenburg is getting $1 million in provincial funding to help revitalize and maintain Lunenburg Academy. The venue is a provincial Heritage Property and National Historic Site, and the money will help restore and turn it into a community hub. $45,000 is also going towards the Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance.
