Feed Nova Scotia and Sobeys have teamed up to help those in need. Surplus food that’s close to or past the best before date, but still safe for consumption or use will now be donated. The program is being piloted at the Mumford Road Sobeys in Halifax and Aberdeen Mall location in New Glasgow. It’s also being done in Moncton through Food Depot Alimentaire, with Sobeys saying it’ll go across Atlantic Canada in the coming months.
