Halifax Cab Driver in Hospital after Assault
A Halifax cab driver was taken to hospital after being assaulted by four passengers in Dartmouth on Saturday morning. Halifax Police say the taxi driver picked up the four men, all thought to be 17 or 18-years-old, in Halifax and drove them to Dartmouth. When the cab stopped near the corner of Primrose Street and Victoria Road around 5am one of the passengers initially assaulted the driver with a knife before the other three passengers joined in the assault. The suspects stole cash and some personal items from the cab driver before fleeing. The taxi driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
