Submissions are now being taken for the 2017 Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Excellence in Nova Scotia Wines. The Winery Association of Nova Scotia and Taste of Nova Scotia will ask member wineries to submit up to three grape wines for judging. Three winning wineries will be awarded in July.

NDP would reverse Kings County nursing home cuts: Burrill
NDP Leader Gary Burrill says his government would reverse cuts to Kings County nursing homes. The party would invest more than $8 million across the province, including at the Wolfville Nursing Home, Wolfville Elms, Evergreen Home for Special Care, and Grand View Manor. Burrill is still in the Valley, including for tonight’s nomination of Ted Champion in Kings North.
