Another candidate has dropped out of the election race because of past posts on social media.
Dartmouth East NDP candidate Bill McEwen issued a statement late yesterday saying he regreted the comments and was taking responsibility. This came after CTV Atlantic had a report about sexist content on a website McEwen once hosted and the use of derogatory language about gay people.
Eight MPs, whose ridings border the Bay of Fundy, will be working together to boost tourism in the area.
Cumberland-Colchester Bill Casey told the Nova Scotia CBC the MPs from Nova Scotia and New Brunswick have formed a caucus and will be asking citizens for help in promoting the Bay as one of North America’s seven natural wonders just behind the Grand Canyon. Casey wants to see tourism numbers double in the next five years.
