The Devils Half Acre Motorcycle Rally is taking over the Town of Kentville today. The inaugural event got underway with a Bikers breakfast and blessing of the bikes this morning. Other events taking place right now include the Show n’ Shine, Stunt Team Demo’s and live music – with over twenty vendors setting up shop in Downtown Kentville. The parade of bikes will take place at 6:15 this evening.

Woman Dead and Man Injured In Dartmouth Incident
Halifax Police say woman was found dead and a man was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries after an incident last night in Dartmouth. Police were called to a reported assault in progress at an apartment complex on Hastings Drive at 7:42pm. A man with life threatening injuries was discovered outside. A woman was found unresponsive inside and pronounced dead at the scene. The surrounding area was blocked off to traffic and pedestrians while the homicide unit investigated the incident. Police say it was not a random act but have not said if they are currently looking for suspects.
