The province is spending more than $1 million to deal with the increase in fentanyl and other synthetic opioids. $559,000 is going to community groups in Truro, Halifax and Sydney; with $564,000 to buy more naloxone, which can reverse an overdose.

Atlantic Fisheries Fund announced
The province will partner with DFO on a $325 million Atlantic Fisheries Fund. Nova Scotia seafood exports hit an all-time high of $1.8 billion last year, and the elimination of tariffs for European markets is expected to have a significant positive impact.
