Acadian Federation of NS pressing province to restore ridings

The Acadian Federation of Nova Scotia is pressing the province to restore three protected ridings before the next election.

The Nova Scotia Court of Appeal ruled a 2012 boundary redrawing by the former NDP government violated voter rights.

The Federation believes an interim process can be launched quickly, and would let the government drop the writ when it chooses.

Tunnel to be built for ATV crossing in Oxford

The province is building a tunnel in Oxford so ATVs can cross. It’ll run under the connector road into town at Exit 6 off Highway 104. The government is also working to introduce a series of pilot projects for increased off-highway vehicle access around the province.
