A Canada Wide warrant has been issued for a witness in a Halifax murder trial. The warrant was issued for Walter Madeaus Brooks after he failed to appear as a witness last week in the second degree murder trial of Demarques Shane Beals. Beals is accused in the stabbing death of 19-year-old Keya Knita Simon at a party in Dartmouth in January of 2011. Police say believe Brooks maybe living in Orangeville, Ontario.

19-Year-Old Dies in Pictou County Swimming Incident
A 19-year-old man has died in a Pictou County swimming incident. The young man was swimming with a group of friends at Park Falls in Sutherland River when he jumped in and failed to resurface around 3:30pm on Friday afternoon. Ground Search and Rescue located the man’s body around 9pm Friday night. What caused the man’s death is still under investigation. The popular swimming hole has been the scene of other fatal
