Snow crab season in the Gulf of St. Lawrence is coming to an early end. DFO has closed an area off Miscou Island to minimize risk to right whales, of which several have recently been found dead and entangled. All gear is to be out of the area by 4:00 Friday afternoon, and that’ll go right through until fishing season ends on the 28th.
