Doctor not guilty of sexually assaulting patient

A Halifax doctor has been found not guilty of sex charges involving a teenage boy, according to Local XpRess.

66 year old Nebojsa Sparavalo was acquitted on charges of sexual assault and sexual exploitation by Judge Anne Derrick who said the Crown failed to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.

A 17 year old boy was getting a lumbar puncture at the Q-E II hospital in March of 2015 when he says the doctor touched a blanket over his clothed genitals. At first he thought it was an accident, but later believed it was intentional. The boy’s mother, girlfriend and nurses were present at the time.
