William Sandeson appeals murder conviction

William Sandeson is appealing his first-degree murder conviction.

Sandeson was found guilty of murdering fellow Dalhousie student Taylor Samson, originally from Amherst.

Sandeson’s lawyer, Eugene Tan, confirmed his client had filed the appeal over information shared by a private detective they hired who appparently tipped off police about information he had gathered from witnesses. Tan says that was a violation of Sandeson’s solicitor-client privilege.
